What type of material is available on OPSS?

OPSS is a learning and content management system. Any type of electronic file can be stored, distributed and viewed using OPSS. Its centralized knowledge library enables people to access, collect and manage information of all types, from documents, procedures and training material to O&M manuals.

In addition, OPSS tracks innumerable versions and change histories, all while ensuring that only the most recent technical documents are available. Complete histories of document changes can also be referenced, including why the changes were made.

OPSS is an OpenSourceTM product. This means that the source code is available on line for developers to review and improve upon. Any changes made to the code are reviewed, and if deemed appropriate, integrated into OPSS.

In addition, all OPSS customers are welcome to join us for our biannual Operations Performance Support System User Group (OPSSUG) meetings. These meetings serve as a forum for users to express enhancement requests and suggestions. All enhancements are reviewed by the OPSSUG committee and those determined most beneficial to all customers and the overall effectiveness of OPSS are integrated into the system. This process enables OPSS to grow and evolve with changing industry, regulatory and customer requirements.
