Spare Parts
The provision of spare parts is often overlooked. When it is addressed, it will often be based on the manufacturer's recommended spare parts list. Over our many years of operating pipelines, we have come to appreciate that the manufacturer's recommendations are based on many assumptions about the pipeline operation and represent typical scenarios. Location of the pipeline, environmental conditions and many other factors will have a bearing on how well the typical scenarios match with reality.
